Amek big mixbus problem

Postby dhtboot » Sun Mar 20, 2016 3:43 pm

I'm having a problem with the master section of my Amek Big 28. If the source volume is low my right mixbus suddenly goes dead. If i push the volume up it pops back on and works fine for a while.

If i use the AFL the right channel works fine.

I've tried replacing the 2142 chips, replacing caps, nothing worked.

What could be the source of this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Sounds like a contact problem. Some quick ideas: Try to reseat all chips, replace the master insert jacks, resolder the volume pot.
