Hi, I started writing songs a few years ago ('been playing for a lot longer). I bought a Magnum locally and 'been happy ever since. Looking forward to hearing from others about their setup.
I'm in Montreal.

Hi Guys,
I'm steve perkins
I love Analogue recording and i work with a Studer 820 2" with Dolby SR , The desk is an 80 channel Amek APC1000 with GML moving fader automation
I also have a Ptools HD Accel system with Apogee 16X converters and it is Synced to the Studer
I operate a mid size studio in orange county ca. This is the second studio i have built, The first one was built by me and some friends in Tucson AZ in the early 1980s it is still in operation as a studio.
This new room is awesome ! I never thought it would sound a good as it does, Praise God ! the Live room is great for drums and accostic instruments
The control room is easy to mix in and plenty of room .
When i was looking for a console i was looking at the SSL G 40XX but i got the APC instead , The sound of the APC is amazing it has the punch of the SSL without the harshness, and it has tons of headroom and no noise !
And no need for a rack of Mic Preamps, The APC Mic amps are great :D
And of course the EQs are awesome :D
There were only 9 made and only 2 left in the US
I would like to know where the others ended up
I am still working out the bugs ....... And always looking for spare parts
Peace,
steve
