Yeah, you heard that. An area for the free and open exchange of ideas. Or else. Let the banning begin.

Add forum for tape machines

Nice job so far on the new site. Would you consider adding some forums for tape machines in the future? From what I've been reading on other sites, there still seems to be plenty of folks using tape machines. Maybe they'd share some tips, tricks, and tweaks!

Hello Don!
Thank you for the kind words. Funny you should mention it, we'll be launching our new site FORUM.ANALOGTAPEDECK.COM here in the next few days, and we hope you and others will come and be a part of our community. Obviously, there will be plenty of great forums and info on Tascam, Otari, Revox, MCI and more, but we'll also provide info on higher end cassette recorders and anything else we can find that makes sense, so please drop by, say hello and offer us and others any assistance you can.

Also, I'd like to remind everyone that any documentation for tape decks or consoles are extremely welcome and we'd like you to help us start the online repository of this information, free for all to use. Feel free to email info to or fax it us (if you have a nice fax machine or scanner that scans very nicely) at (512) 628 3234

So, whatever happened to this idea?? It seems like a great idea, because tape machines are more popular than they've been in years. I've yet to come across another comprehensive forum or info database on these machines.
