In the late 70's, over half of the records in Billboard's Top 200 were recorded and/or mixed using MCI equipment.

MCI update tulsa

Postby MCI Chris » Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:23 am

Hey everyone,

just an update on the MCI JH636 that Brain Roth and I are fixing up. Its been given a really good cleaning and brian made it to tulsa to look it over. A bit of power supply tweaking and a general look has revealed some issues. Caps in the EQ sections are pretty bad, also the master section we are recapping. There are a couple of switches and led lights that are out.

I am so glad I found Brian, the guy is an incredible resource and knows everything about these old boards. Anyone in this area needs anything fixed with has a cap, resistor, diode or whatever, he is the guy.

Thanks! I will post some pics soon...
