MCI 416 Legs

Postby 8068 » Mon Jan 09, 2017 3:34 pm

I am about to have a set of legs fabricated for an MCI 416 Console.
Question is should there be any cross brace that spans across the back of the console to brace the legs from side forces. The 3 bolts I see to attach the console seem a little flimsey.
Thanks You

I just picked up a 416A, and my legs have only 2 bolts on each leg (one "leg" on each side). I don't have any cross braces. It does seem a little flimsy for the weight of the console. Not sure if I am missing something or not. Right now it is on the floor, and I haven't put the legs on yet so not sure how sturdy it's gonna feel.

On the 416 I have it appears there are two bolts on the console sides, but I also see one bolt in the rear UNDERNEATH the side . This would make sense as it would keep the console from collapsing is someone leaned on it sideways.

I am Assuming this bolt is a 3/8 inch 16 thread per inch bolt. Does anyone know the bolt specs?
Thanks
