M Series Aux Rails

Postby weitheiml » Thu Sep 23, 2010 4:36 pm

Hello Calrec Gurus!

I acquired an Aux Master module over Ebay and planned to use it as a Bus-Amp. (And as a Line-Driver for a Compressor)

Can anyone tell me, what value the coupling resistors (?) to the Aux-Rails from the Aux-Sends are?
What level does the Module expect at the Inputs? (Is the Bus technology VOLT or CURRENT based?)
...I'll look up the Module number, if that will help.

Regards, Niko

Way too little information about the module.

The module type number is the key to a starting point and really would help a lot.....

Hi Gareth, thanks for your reply.

The Part Number is AL1659 called "Main Auxiliary Outputs" serial 02.
5 Potis on the Front: PA and FB 1-4
And an "MCF Insert" switch. (What does MCF stand for?)
The circuit board is Number: AL800-012-5
5 Output Transformers (LL1517)

There seems to be a Mod in form of a big green "MCF Remix" switch...

Thanks for your effort!

Niko

P.S: just googled and saw, that you restored a desk with the exact model;)

Quite so

Wonkypedia is moderately helpful on this. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mix-minus
