Calrec C2 Power Supplies

Postby AnalogStudio7 » Mon Mar 02, 2015 6:38 pm

Hello all.

I just picked up a Calrec C2 console in beautiful condition. However, it came sans the power supply units which were sold off seperately, go figure!

Anyway, I came by two Calrec ZN3018-4 power supplies, but one of the units has its DC output connector broken. The internal terminal pins and the surrounding plastic that holds them in place are cracked and broken. And the metal shell around the pin insert assembly is crushed in on one side! Don't know how this happened, but now I have to fix this.

Does anyone know what kind (manufacturer name/brand/model) of connector used on the Calrec ZN3018-4 power supply? I don't see any numbers or info as to who makes it.

I need to figure out what this connector is and find where I can order a replacement.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Greg

ITT Cannon "Trident".
Farnell / Element 14 stock the connectors, pins, tooling etc.

Thanks for that info!

Is that all there is to the part number, ITT Canon Trident?

Cheers!

Hi Greg,

Trident is Cannon's name for the range of connectors and there are a lot of different sizes.

Using Farnell / Element 14 stock codes:

Chassis socket for the PSU:

Manufacturer: ITT CANNON
Order Code: 1188249
Manufacturer Part No TR1619RFS1NB

Socket contact:

Manufacturer: ITT CANNON
Order Code: 1186778
Manufacturer Part No T3P16FC1LX

.... and in case of an error (and they are really easy to make..... I know from experience).... the worth-its-wieght-in-gold pin-popper tool:

Manufacturer: ITT CANNON
Order Code: 3806959
Manufacturer Part No 192922-1450
