Distortion on 8 channels blocks

Postby Yamil Martinez » Sun Mar 17, 2019 11:34 am

Hi everybody

After a while my Recall 56 is producing distortion. The distortion is present on blocks of 8 channels, actually from 33 to 48. I’m using the channel insert to send and return the signal to the DAW. We’ve swapped modules around and the problem persists in the same channels.Since it’s happening in blocks, Is it possible that it’s produced at the mother board?

By the way channel 27 doesn’t pass audio at all and swapping modules doesn’t help either.

Has Any body experienced the same?

I vaguely remember form many years ago that if the VD connector has no VD card attached that you can get distortion. Other than that check that all the power on that block of channels is actually correct.
